This guy should get an award

Last night I was watching the local ABC news. Of course there was a story on air pollution. Not only is it unhealthy, I also think it's embarrassing that Utah has so many cities in the top 5 worst air category.

But don't despair.

The government is paying someone to drive around and look for air polluters. He gives tickets to people who are using their fireplaces on red burn days.

He drives around!

Hey government, here's and idea that isn't counter productive: a call in hot line. No driving required.

I think we know why UT has such bad pollution! Or is it the other way around? Has the horrible air quality tainted the brains of our officials?

I hope as he drives around, he's tossing garbage out his car window. And maybe during breaks, chopping down lots and lots of trees. Just for fun because they don't help to produce oxygen or anything. He should probably be a smoker as well. That way, while fining individuals, he can blow secondhand smoke on them, further compounding all the health risks we face from the bad air.

Ha ha, I saw that too. I also saw people using thier fireplaces and wanted to stop myself and tell them to turn it off. But then, really what we need to do is get that plant that is over by the Lindon dump to stop pouring so much pollution in the air. What do they do anyway?
